Keloids are a tendency rather than a one-off event: people who form one keloid often form others, and surgical removal alone is followed by regrowth in a large proportion of cases. This is why a constitutional approach is valuable.
Common signs
- Scar that keeps enlarging long after the wound has healed
- Itching and burning in the scar
- New keloids after minor injuries, acne or piercing
- Cosmetic and emotional distress
How homoeopathy approaches it
Remedies are selected on the individual picture — the site, colour, sensation and history of the keloid together with the patient’s general health. Treatment is gradual: softening and reduced itching usually come first, followed by flattening and lightening of the scar over months. Read about keloids.
A note from the clinic. Every patient is assessed individually; the information on this page is general and is not a substitute for a consultation. Please book an appointment to discuss your own case.
