Diseases we treat

Asthma & Homoeopathy

Asthma is a chronic condition in which the airways become inflamed and narrow, making breathing difficult. Attacks may be triggered by dust, pollen, cold air, exertion, infection or emotional stress.

Common signs

  • Wheezing and tightness of the chest
  • Shortness of breath, especially at night or early morning
  • Persistent dry or productive cough
  • Attacks provoked by dust, weather change or exertion

How homoeopathy approaches it

Rather than suppressing the symptom alone, a homoeopathic physician studies the whole person — the pattern of complaints, what makes them better or worse, general health, temperament and history — and selects a remedy that matches that individual picture. Treatment aims to raise the body’s own resistance so that relief is lasting and relapses become fewer. The aim is to reduce the frequency and severity of attacks and the dependence on inhalers over time. Emergency medication must never be stopped without medical advice.
